Today, let's take a closer look at the latest digital portrait authored by 3D Character Artist Frankie Eaton that combines two of the manliest things imaginable – MMA and the Gears of War series – into one epic artwork that imagines Alexander "The Great" Volkanovski, a professional mixed martial artist from Australia, as a character from the aforementioned game universe.
Inspired by the artist's own admiration for both Alex and GoW, the model boasts incredibly detailed textures, both hard-surface and organic, with several hidden easter eggs that MMA fans will appreciate. As for the software, the character was modeled and sculpted in Maya and ZBrush, textured with Substance 3D Painter, and rendered using Marmoset Toolbag.
