Elden Ring is Getting a Board Game Adaptation

The Kickstarter campaign for the board game version of Elden Ring will be launched in the near future.

FromSoftware's Elden Ring is getting a board game adaptation. The game's publisher Bandai Namco has teamed up with Steamforged Games, the publisher of board game versions of popular AAA video games, to bring the hit action role-playing game to the tabletop.

Bandai Namco and Steamforged Games previously already worked together to create the board game version of Dark Souls. The board game developer is also known for the adaptations of Horizon Zero Dawn, Resident Evil 3, Monster Hunter World, and more.

The upcoming Elden Ring board game will be crowdfunded through Kickstarter and, according to Steamforged Games, the campaign is set to launch very soon.

It is not clear yet how exactly the board game will play but Steamforged Games noted that there will be the ability to play alone or with up to three other Tarnished players and visit iconic locations of Elden Ring's world, The Lands Between.

In the game, the players will experience fights against familiar enemies and bosses from the game "recreated through intelligent, dice-free combat" where they'll need to use various strategies and adapt their plans in each encounter.
