Valve Boss Is Reportedly Hand-Delivering Signed Steam Decks in Seattle

As reported by at least two Reddit users, Gabe Newell is hand-delivering Steam Decks with his signature on the case in the Seattle area.

Valve's head, Gabe Newell, is reportedly hand-delivering Steam Decks to mark the first batch of releases. At least two unrelated users on Reddit reported they've got the devices with Valve boss's signature on the case providing photos and similar but yet different stories.

According to Reddit user bitfidler0, a couple of days ago, they received a "spammy-looking" email saying that they were getting the early shipment of Steam Deck. The user mentioned being out all day, so their wife was the one who was meeting the "delivery man" who reportedly turned out to be Gabe Newell. They provided the front-door camera screenshot displaying a masked man. While the image is quite blurry, the person on it can be recognized as Newell.

Another user, SeattleRainPidgeons, also claims that they saw a camera crew going up to their neighbor's house following a man whom the user's roommate recognized as Newell. They later greeted the Valve boss which was followed by Newell asking them how many people lived in their house and then giving them signed Steam Decks as well.

Taking into account the camera crew that both users mentioned this presumably might be a promo event held in the Seatle area.

UPD: This has been confirmed by the video posted on the Steam Deck official account on Twitter.
