Senior Environment Artist, Games Studio (Blue) at Netflix

We’re looking for a creative and highly-skilled Senior Environment Artist to help us forge the creative vision of a brand-new AAA multi-platform (PC, mobile, etc.) game. This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of crafting and bringing to life worlds for one of Netflix’s first generation of internally developed original games.

As a Senior Environment Artist, you will help us define overall quality and construct 3D environments to deliver consistent, high-quality environmental assets and locations. The ideal candidate is a well-organized artist with a strong, hands-on background with a devotion to sharing and mentoring. This role will involve producing striking, high-quality, and optimized AAA environments. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 or more years of professional experience in computer-generated art for games or entertainment with a minimum of 3 years as a Senior Environment Artist or Senior World Builder.
  • Shipped at least one AAA game.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A portfolio with examples of environment asset creation and/or world-building.
  • Experience building environments from initial blackout to final polish/ship.
  • Ability to efficiently model, sculpt, and texture both organic and hard surface assets to a high degree of quality.
  • Ability to create assets for a range of art direction styles, from photo-realistic to stylized. 
  • Expert knowledge of Maya (or similar 3D modeling software), Photoshop, ZBrush, and Substance 3D Painter.
  • A strong understanding of world-building workflows, technical constraints, and asset creation using Unreal Engine (or similar game engine).
  • Experience with material creation and PBR workflows.

Associate Lead/Lead Environment Artist at Playground Games

Techland is looking for a talented and experienced Level Artist to join one of our teams in Wrocław or Warsaw. You will help to create amazing environments the players will be exploring and admiring. You will be moving mountains, raising cities, and breathing life into in-game locations thanks to aesthetically pleasing composition and clever use of light and detail.

Qualifications:

  • at least 5 years of experience in level design or lighting video game levels;
  • at least two shipped AAA titles;

id Software is seeking a Prop Artist to join our team in making AAA games. This position assumes a prominent position on the team, helping to create and set a visual bar for industry-leading props, environments, vehicles, and weapons. 

Qualifications:

  • At least one first-person AAA title shipped as a Senior Artist or equivalent experience 
  • Hard skills – Fluent in 3D modeling packages (ex: Modo, Max, Maya, ZBrush, etc.) Fluent in texture creation packages (ex: Substance 3D Painter/Designer or comparable software). Expert knowledge of Hard surface and organic modeling techniques  
  • Experience – 4 years of experience in asset and texture creation using AAA game engine(s) and or 1 shipped AAA project. 
  • Soft skills – Values and practices professionalism. 
  • Team skills – Value the game direction and make decisions based on what is best for the project. 

Concept Artist at FromSoftware

Your responsibilities: 

Follow the core game concept in order to create 2D images for environments, objects, and characters; create various designs for in-game imagery.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Concept Artist (able to draw environments/scenery, and design the game world setting based on an understanding of the core concept)
  • Either a graduation certificate from university (graduate school) or 10 years of work experience relating to art or graphic design. (Any period of time studying art or graphic design at school may be included under work experience.)
