What can be cooler to wear for a fashion icon than mushroom earbuds? Even better – chocolate mushrooms in the form of Kinoko no Yama (branded as Chocorooms in the US), a delicious dessert from Meiji. Thankfully, you can now start trends as the company has released its wireless earphones that have a translation function in a dedicated app, which allows you to understand 74 countries' languages and 70 dialects in real time.
The concept was introduced on X/Twitter as an unlikely Meiji product in July but received so much support that the company decided to make it a reality. It focused on "cuteness in the case design" in hopes of introducing Kinoko no Yama to people all over the world.
If you want a pair of those, hurry up: only 3,500 units are available for 29,800 yen ($197) each. You can find more information about the earphones here. (And if you haven't tried the original cookie, do it – it's delicious.)
