NVIDIA Combines GeForce Experience & Control Panel in One App

NVIDIA has released a new app that unifies the Control Panel, GeForce Experience, and RTX Experience. While its design is certainly nice, the most important part of the package to me is the ability to download drivers without needing to log in.

What the merge means is that you can now optimize your game and driver settings in a single app. A global profile can be used across all games and applications so you don't have to tweak anything for every title.

NVIDIA has made it easier to keep up with driver updates: you can easily see what's new in bullet points.

In addition, the overlay has been redesigned so it's nicer to look at, and your screenshots are available in the gallery with thumbnails. The overlay can be customized to take as much space and show as much information as you want.

The app also offers a variety of AI-powered filters, including RTX Dynamic Vibrance, which enhances visual clarity, and RTX HDR, which brings High Dynamic Range to games that did not originally have its support.

The app is now in beta and lacks a few features. However, NVIDIA promises to add some of them and more in the future. The Display and Video settings from the Control Panel will make it to the program together with GPU overclocking and driver roll-back. Later, we'll see AV1 support for Shadowplay, additional DLSS controls, extra overclocking options, and more there.

Not every old capability is lucky, though: Broadcast to Twitch and YouTube, Share Images and Video to Facebook and YouTube, and Photo Mode 360 & Stereo captures will not appear in the new app.
