NVIDIA's New Tutorial on Creating Simulation-Ready 3D Assets

The team showed how to build 3D objects with accurate physical properties using 3ds Max and NVIDIA Omniverse.

NVIDIA's Beau Perschall and Renato Gasoto have recently published a new comprehensive tutorial on creating physically-accurate 3D assets that can be used to build virtual worlds. Called "SimReady" assets by the team, those 3D objects encompass lifelike physical properties, behavior, and connected data streams built on Universal Scene Description to give artists the ability "to build physically accurate virtual worlds indistinguishable from reality."

In this tutorial, the team showed how one can create SimReady USD assets, shared the techniques required to develop and test these assets, and demonstrated the workflow in 3ds Max and SimReady Studio, an NVIDIA Omniverse-powered tool designed to help artists make simulation-ready content.

You can access the tutorial here, please note that you have to log in to NVIDIA's website to view it. Also, don't forget to join our Reddit page and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
