Ubisoft and Belgian Pro League Partnership Announced

The companies will work on One Shot League, a blockchain-based fantasy football game.

Strategic Innovations Lab at Ubisoft teamed up with Belgian Pro League to develop a F2P fantasy football game One-Shot League based on blockchain technology.

For the development, companies also work together with Sorare, another blockchain-driven fantasy football game. Players will be able to use their cards in both games. In One Shot League, the players will create their own teams of 5 members. The team will be formed from cards of Jupiter Pro League football players.

"Blockchain allows players to play with the same card in both fantasy football worlds today, but tomorrow it could allow them to enjoy it in a wide variety of games and environments, with different uses or rules -- as a card, or as any sort of item."

Nicolas Pouard, director of the Blockchain Initiative at Ubisoft via press release
