Lost in Space was inspired by the suspenseful ambiance of horror movies set against the vast backdrop of outer space. The narrative centers around an abandoned spaceship, drifting aimlessly through the cosmos.

“Immersed in numerous references, I discovered the inspiration to create my own concept art. By employing basic geometric shapes such as spheres, columns, and cubes, I blocked out the scene and fine-tuned the concept, dividing the space into modular components. The individual elements of the spaceship emerged, each composed of modular parts that seamlessly fit together. Transitioning to the texturing phase, my focus was on harmonizing color with lighting and imbuing a cyberpunk aesthetic into the scene”, stated the artist.

Yellow and white hues dominated as the primary colors, creating a vibrant interplay with the ambient lighting. Crafting distinct materials for metal surfaces and paint, the creator introduced masks to simulate realistic paint scratches, contributing to the overall worn and weathered appearance of the spaceship's interior. With textures in place, he set the scene's lighting, adjusting for different moods until achieving the desired atmospheric effect within Unreal Engine. However, the environment appeared overly clean and tidy, lacking the mood one would expect from a spaceship lost in space.

To address this issue, he introduced a myriad of decals and pipes, strategically placing them to disrupt the cleanliness of the scene. These details, painted onto the walls and integrated into the overall composition, infused a sense of chaos and abandonment. As a final touch, he added more sparkles around the pipes, and glitch effects flickered across the screens, giving players a more immersive narrative and inviting them to explore the mysteries lurking within the remnants of a forsaken spacecraft.
