Photorealistic Billy Butcher Portrait in ZBrush & Unreal Engine 5

3D Character Artist and character art trainer Ivailo Ivanov, whose photorealistic digital recreations of famous characters from movies and TV series you all know and love, has unveiled a new jaw-dropping 3D portrait that looks indistinguishable from reality.

Check out "Oi!", a lifelike 3D take on Billy Butcher, an iconic character from the comic book and TV series The Boys, inspired by Callisto Protocol and Karl Urban's portrayal of the character in Amazon's show. According to the author, the character's head and clothes were sculpted in ZBrush, the hair and beard were made in XGen, and base details and textures come from TexturingXYZ, with Substance 3D Painter having been used for additional texturing. As for rendering, Ivailo chose Unreal Engine 5.

Previously, Ivailo also published a fantastic 3D portrait of MyAnna Buring, who played the role of Tissaia de Vries in Netflix's The Witcher, offering a new take on the artist's previous MyAnna Buring project:
